Eens per jaar komt Bent Branderup naar de Paardenmaat in Arnhem voor een weekend clinic. In 2025 is dat 13 en 14 september. Wil je je graag verder verdiepen in de academische rijkunst? Join as a theory participant!
Bent teaches four theoryblocks, in which he explains the biomechanics of a riding horse, the rider aids, training didactics and the philosophy of the academic art of riding. During theory and in between the lessons there is plenty of time to ask questions. Eight combinations will receive three lessons during the weekend. Often the combinations are very different, horsewise and levelwise.

Bent Branderup is the Grandmaster of the Academic Art of Riding. At his stable in Denmark he educates his horses up to the highest levels. In the weekends he travels Europe to teach weekend clinics. Bent Branderup has always been interested in equestrian ethnology. His travels through Europa when he was younger brought him in contact with different horse cultures and led him toward the grandmasters alive at that time, of which Don Javier Garcia Romero, Nuno Oliveira and Egon von Neindorff.
Bent combines his theoretical knowledge of the old masters, modern science and his practical knowlegde as a rider, trainer and teacher in the Academic Art of Riding. It is his mission to rediscover knowledge that was lost in time from the perspective of the modern age. To develop the art. In his eyes, art can only be art if it is 'lived'.
Bent guides combinations with respect for the possibilities and limitations of human and horse and is able to guide every combination a step further in their education. His eye for biomechanics is unparalleled.
